A Day at the Beach

We decided to spend a day at the beach with friends yesterday. Today, I remember why we don't do that often, and that usually when we make the trek to the beach, it's for the weekend. It was a long drive, with a few navigation problems but we had SO MUCH FUN!!!! We drove down with "E and J" and their kids and met "J2 and P" who are vacationing there for a few days (the lucky dogs!).

Here we all are:

I could take lessons from "C" (on the right) in introducing myself to new people. He had a new buddy almost as soon as we arrived at the beach!
"J2" and "M" (the same one from the great "wipe-out" from a previous post).

And the mud war is on.....

Thankfully "J" was too busy photographing this helicopter and missed getting a photo of me face-first into the sand when I fell chasing whomever it was that had dumped mud on me!

Before our long drive home we had a late night dinner at the Boiling Pot. Aren't we cute in our bibs?

I can't remember a day when I laughed so hard!!! Again, J2 I'm sorry I plowed you over with my boogie board! I was focused on catching that wave and didn't see you in front of me until it was too late. Thankfully, this wasn't captured on camera either. But it was FUNNY! Has anyone ever drowned from laughing so hard they couldn't stand up in the water??? I think several of us were in danger of that Saturday! I think I finally crawled into bed at 2:00 this morning. Pastor, I promise I'll wait until I get home from church to take my nap today!!!
