Not Me! Monday

It is once again time for a "Not Me Monday" post in which I admit to all the craziness that is my life while at the same time denying it all. "Not Me Monday" is where I inform you of all the insanity of the previous week! To take part in all the goofy fun head over to MckMamma's blog to get started and to see what everyone has NOT been up to!

Oh the insanity! It has not been forever and a day since I participated in "Not Me!" Monday. Nope, I never leave my readers hanging wondering what the heck???

Yesterday I did not go off to shoot photos for the afternoon, leaving the battery for my camera perched in a charger at home! Nope, not me! Are you kidding??? Me??? Forget something so crucial for taking photographs???? Surely, you jest!

In preparing for this week's VBS at church, of which I am a co-director, I did not assure the other director I'd make some signs so the children would know where to sit in the worship rally...and then promptly forget to do it! Hello? Did you not read above? I just don't forget things. Not me!

One evening last week my (17 year old) daughter and I went swimming in the pool in the backyard. I did not decide that at 38 years old I want to learn to swim underwater. I mean, what 38-year old woman who does know how to swim and owns a pool doesn't know how to swim underwater, right??? And no, said daughter did not attempt to teach me and did not indeed laugh at her mother either. And while we're at it, I also won't admit that I never learned to dive either. Nope, not me!

Want to join the therapy of admitting to the quirkiness of everyday life, while at the same time denying it all??? Head over to MckMamma's blog to join the fun!!

Not Me Monday

It is once again time for a "Not Me Monday" post in which I admit to all the craziness that is my life while at the same time denying it all. "Not Me Monday" is where I inform you of all the insanity of the previous week! Normally I would send you over to MckMamma's blog to get started and to see what everyone has NOT been up to...but she's unable to play along with us for now. In the mean time check out her blog and pray for her son Stellan with her.

On to the craziness....tonight after a meeting in our community I was not approached by a reader here who said "you're Tammy... I read your blog. I'm a friend of Thien's and my name is Jessica." So, I am not going to give a shout out to Jessica (Hi Jessica!) and would not even tell her to say hello the next time she drops by here and leave a comment (leave a comment to say hello next time, Jessica).

I did not plan for months and months to go to the beach this weekend with my family and friends to attend Sandfest and see the sand sculptures. We did not decide Friday not to go after all on Saturday due to weather forecasts of rain and thunderstorms. We did not learn today that it didn't rain a drop at the beach on Saturday. But, we did not have an absolutely marvelous time chatting the day away with my friend Kendra and her kids. Heather did not LOVE having teenagers in the house to hang with either! The teenagers did not start a game of Monopoloy as soon as Kendra and her kids Erica and Ashton arrived and surely did not spend much of the afternoon playing!

Heather's friend Hunter, Heather, and Kendra's kids: Erica and Ashton

When it was time to eat dinner Saturday, Marty did not dig out Heather's old portable picnic table we used when she was little. All the teenagers did not sit at it to prove they'd still fit either!

Erica, Hunter, Heather and Ashton

Time for dinner! Kendra, Erica, Heather, Marty, Hunter, Ashton and in the corner my mother in law Billie.

Heather is not attending her first prom this weekend and of course I'm not planning to take tons of photos of she and her date. Her date also has not been warned of the hundreds of photos he's likely to endure before I let my daughter out the door. Said date did not spend all of Saturday hanging out at our house. During that time, he and Heather certainly were not found chasing my husband Marty round and round the house as they attempted to steal his giant tub of cheese balls from him! Nope, that kind of craziness just doesn't happen here...must have been someone else's house, someone else's husband, someone else's kid!

I did not spend Sunday afternoon taking marvelous portraits of my friend Shannon. And I of course did not make her climb up a set of steps on the OUTSIDE of the rail to get a shot I wanted! Nope, just ask anyone whose portraits I've taken..I'd NEVER do something like that!

Not Me Monday

It is once again time for a "Not Me Monday" post in which I admit to all the craziness that is my life while at the same time denying it all. "Not Me Monday" is where I inform you of all the insanity of the previous week! To take part in all the goofy fun head over to MckMamma's blog to get started and to see what everyone has NOT been up to!

I did not forget to write "Not Me Monday" posts 2 weeks in a row after saying I was going to try to do these every Monday!

I did not have a fabulous time with hubby and friends on Valentine's Day and I did not get sick after trying sushi and gorging on appetizers and I certainly was not unable to eat my main course!

I did not convince my husband to wear a tie for our Valentine's date night. And it was NOT the first time I've EVER seen him in a tie! And he didn't look absolutely fabulous either! He has also not sworn he'd never wear one again, especially after seeing that he was the only male in our group in a tie (thanks Guys!!!).

My daughter has not learned that if she needs something sewn right away and it's late at night when she remembers this that Mom can't be counted on. She has not got the best dad that takes care of her sewing needs and he hasn't been doing that since she was a little girl. And her daddy didn't come through for her again when she needed to figure out a way to get a hat to stay on her head while dancing! And said hat certainly did not fall off her head at the beginning of the routine during Saturday's dance competition!

I did not tell my daughter not to breathe on me when she was sick all last week. Really, how unsympathetic would that sound anyway???

My husband did not have a blowout on a rear tire, on a motorcycle no less, recently. He did not manage to keep the bike upright and did not have such a wild ride that cars around him were getting out of the way. I was not thankful that my daughter or I were not on the bike at the time. I am not thankful and it does not put me at ease that he's a skilled rider.

My daughter does not at all enjoy the days that her daddy takes her to school. She does not enjoy showing up at the high school on the back of the bike or walking into the school carrying her helmet. Nope, not her!

I am not ready for winter to be over and summer to arrive with trips to the beach, swimming in the backyard pool, roasting hot dogs over the fire and all that summer around here entails!!!

I did not have a cancelled photo shoot Friday because a bride did not budget money for photographs of her wedding. I did not take the planned afternoon off anyway and I surely did not use the time doing much needed housework because how boring would that be to spend time off doing that???

I have not been wasting too much time lately on facebook, neglecting my blog and even my housework. Nope, not me!

Wednesday I did not nearly get sick from the pine fumes when the custodian at the church mopped all the floors! And I had not just dropped off my allergy prescription and out of pills! Gah! Pine! 'nuff said.

Wednesday my sister's home did not burn to the ground (and how I wish this really did not happen!) This is not the 2nd time she and her family of 4 have lost their home in a fire in 3 years. She did not tell me that it's time to send "Patches" back to her to help her feel better. (To see what the story is behind Patches, go here). And of course being the loving sister I am, I did not procrastinate getting that done and he does not still sit here waiting to be put in a box and shipped to Missouri! I have not cried my eyes out in sorrow for my sister and I did not take my friend Darla with me to go shopping for new clothes for my sister's family. And I also have not procrastinated getting those clothes shipped out to her so she can have them to wear! Nope, not me because I don't procrastinate..EVER!

I did not enjoy spending a rare Friday night at home doing NOTHING and just relaxing with my family!

I did not thoroughly enjoy watching a friend's first grade son play basketball early Saturday morning and did not become excited when he made BASKETS!

I have not been redecorating my home office with whimsical flip flops my favorite aunt has sent me. I have not been plastering the walls with photos of the beach and photos of us and our friends at the beach either, because really...who would want to see pictures of all of us in our windblown, sand-filled hair, no make up wearing selves on display??? And nope, it's not turning out cute either!

"Not Me Monday!"

Ok, here goes my first attempt at a "Not Me Monday" post in which I admit to all the craziness that is my life while at the same time denying it all. I will try to take part in "Not Me Monday" each week and inform you of all the insanity of the previous week! To take part in all the goofy fun head over to McMamma's blog to get started.

I did not recently purchase a new hard drive for my computer because mine is failing and I did not decide to attempt to install it myself to save some money because that would have led to an even greater malfunction! I then did not have to take it to the shop anyway and leave it overnight because that surely would have led to withdrawals until Friday!

Saturday while Marty was out fishing with his brother and step dad I did not spend the day cleaning and organizing my office. I also did not notice that I'd left my box of organized beads and sequins opened in the floor and I did not think to myself that I should close the lid to keep from spilling all the contents. Later that evening I of course did not step right onto the box spilling every single teeny tiny bead and sequin ALL OVER the floor because even I am not that klutzy! And I definitely did not just scoop them all up and put them all in a box to be sorted later because that would just be lazy and I am NOT lazy!

I did not spend Sunday afternoon sitting around with family hearing all the fish tales from the guys' fishing trip. As they discussed the rough seas they endured 90 miles offshore they did not bring up the subject of the bathroom on board the charter boat. I did not laugh hard at the thought of anyone needing to pee when the boat was being tossed about in 10-15 foot swells and I of course did not voice that thought and no one else laughed either and Mike and Marty most definitely did not elaborate on the subject! Sunday night at a church fellowship dinner this same conversation did not get repeated...I mean really! Who would discuss peeing at church? Not me and not our friends! NOPE!
