Majesty

Psalm 93

The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty;

the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength;

indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.

Your throne was established long ago;

you are from all eternity.

The seas have lifted up, LORD,

the seas have lifted up their voice;

the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.

Mightier than the thunder of the great waters,

mightier than the breakers of the sea—

the LORD on high is mighty.

Your statutes, LORD, stand firm;

holiness adorns your house

for endless days.

Birdwatching in Port A

When hubby and I woke early on Sunday morning to watch the sunrise at the beach, we took a walk on the jetty. A  crane flew in and landed near us, swooped into the water and came back with a fish. After several minutes of chewing he was finally able to eat his fish and then he seemed to pose for photos for me for as long as I kept snapping. So, naturally, I obliged!

Sunrise in Port A

This weekend my husband and I went away to the beach for the weekend to relax and to enjoy Sandfest at Port Aransas. We woke early both days in an attempt to watch the sunrise on the beach. Day 1 was VERY windy and cloudy so great pictures were not meant to be:

Day 2 was also cloudy and a bit windy but not as bad as the previous day. Neither day had spectacular colorful skies as I'd hoped but I enjoyed photographing anyway:

Keep checking back. Photos of sandfest coming soon!

Weekend at the Beach

Our last vacation excursion was a weekend at the beach. We were planning sunny skies, hot weather, riding the waves, taking a sunset cruise to photograph the dolphins...typical beach stuff. But, the weather didn't cooperate. It was hazy all weekend, and rainy off and on. We had a great time despite the weather. We did not go on the dolphin cruise but plan to next time. We took Lis to Crazy Cajun instead! It's a tradition for us to eat there at least once each summer when we're at the beach, especially if relatives are in town!

Lis and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the spicy corn at Crazy Cajun!

The boardwalk to the beach from the rv park where we stayed:

Saturday afternon we decided to walk down by the marina:

A trip to the beach isn't complete without stops in the many fun shops that cater to beach bums!

After a weekend of so much gray and hazy skies, I decided to play around with these pictures and add some color!
