Love Is....

As I pondered this month what sort of photograph to take for a photo challenge titled, "Love Is...," I kept thinking about a project my husband is working on. Each time I watch him work or think about what he's done, tears fill my eyes. To me, nothing quite epitomizes love like creating something with your hands to give to someone you love. Hubby has a wood shop but has not tackled any very large woodworking projects since acquiring the tools and shop. One day it occured to him to make a cradle for our first grandchild who will be born in a few weeks. His project is almost finished and it is absolutely beautiful. He recently unveiled the unfinished cradle to our daughter, who cried upon seeing what he had done. This photo captures the beauty of the piece as well as the soul of the man building it.
