Spring Wildflowers...2008 Revisited

Since I'm not seeing many wildflowers this year due to the drought...I'm posting some more of the hundreds of photos I took last spring. Enjoy!

Can I Say the "S" Word???

No, not THAT word! The word to which I'm referring is SPRING!!!! Is it Spring yet? Because it sure looks like it around here!!! See for yourself what my backyard looks like today. It's a gorgeous sunny day and 81 degrees! South Texas in the Spring goes a long way toward making up for the lack of fall colors I miss in Missouri.

I counted at least 5 bugs on this plant at the same time! A bee, a butterfly, a red lady bug, a yellow lady bug and a teeny black spider (I did not photograph the spider!)

Ready for Some Color

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to start seeing color! I mean color on the ground and in the trees. Colors of green grass and leaves, colors of spring flowers covered in colorful butterflies! That kind of color!

So, until we begin to see that around us, this will have to do: more shots of last spring and the colors found abundantly then....

I Just Love Texas in the Spring!

All of these photos were taken along the route between my house and my daughter's high school. Isn't it a shame I don't have a pretty view to look at every day?!

Spring Road Trip---Texas Style

On Good Friday, my friend Denise and I took my daughter and her 3 girls on a road trip to check out the wildflowers in the Texas Hill Country. We had an awesome day just enjoying God's abundant beauty! The girls especially loved the Butterfly Haus in Fredericksburg. These are pictures taken that day.
