Bring on 2010!

We celebrated New Year's Eve with friends and stayed to ring in the new year, complete with a bonfire and fireworks. Happy 2010! May your new year be blessed and may you look forward with a positive outlook and strong resolutions to improve your life and character.

The first thing the three of us have committed to do in 2010 is to read through the Bible. Our church challenged its members to make the commitment to read every single day. If the commitment (promise) was made, a one year Bible was furnished. So far so good, we're on the 4th day and we haven't missed a day yet. What a difference this will make in the life of each of us, our family, our church family and who knows what else!

Happy New Year!

Last night we had Marty's brother's family and our friends Bill and Denise and their girls over to ring in the new year with us. Erica and her family already had plans with friends from out of town and too late we decided we should have joined the 2 get-togethers!

We enjoyed a simple dinner of chili, sandwiches and chips and queso.

Every time I'd try to snap a picture Denise would run around the corner, but I got one!

The teenagers hung out in Heather's room playing games and chatting, the little girls watched movies in the playroom and the adults visited in the living room until the teenagers became bored and we let them have the living room to watch a movie.
We had a great evening visiting and being goofy. Thanks for coming over guys!
Mike, Debbie, Tony and Cheyenne spent the night with us and Marty treated us all to a breakfast of pancakes and eggs! Maybe I should encourage sleepovers more often if it means I get to wake up to a hot breakfast!

The teenagers and Bethany after kicking us out of the living room so they could watch a movie.

I tried to get a picture of Debbie and Denise peeking through the tree as they talked to each other but they moved faster than I did! Mike kept offering to trim the tree for me so they could see around it!

Just before midnight as we wait to ring in the new year. Some of us look like it's way past our bed time! :0)

Happy New Year everyone! What fun to ring in the New Year with friends and family!
