Big Brother Finale Party

I posted before about our "obsession" with reality tv. Tonight was the finale for Big Brother. Our 2 favorite players lasted until the final 2 and it was up to the jury to decide which one would win the prize money. We'd have enjoyed watching the finale at home, but it was made even more enjoyable when we decided to watch the final episode with our friends who are just as (if not more) obsessed! We all pitched in with hamburgers, hotdogs and the trimmings for a simple dinner and gathered at Jimmy and Paula's house to eat and watch tv. Even Marty and Jason were off and able to enjoy the finale.

I AM We Are Definitely Obsessed!

I could not decide what to title this post. I considered "Guilty Pleasures" as well. I like reality tv. Or I should say, we like reality tv. Probably, no definitely, way too much! Usually it's "Survivor" that captures our attention like no other. But for some reason this summer we can't seem to function without "Big Brother." I have never gotten into this particular series as much as I have this summer. Part of that is the fact that we've watched every episode with Erica and her family. And it comes on 3 TIMES A WEEK! We go back and forth between watching it at her house or mine. And it helps that we are all cheering for the same people on the show.

I never would have imagined when I first saw the cast of characters for this series that I'd be cheering for who I'm cheering for. I've gotten hooked on it. I can't wait for the next episode to see what happens next.

We are all cheering for Dick and his daughter Danielle. From Dick's outward appearance I wouldn't have thought I'd be on his side from the beginning. But, I have to hand it to him. He's the only one in the house who tells it like it is. It's funny really, how blunt he is with the other house guests.

There are so many twists and turns and unexpected events that keep me guessing. Last week we sat on pins and needles waiting to see if one of our favorite characters was going to be voted off. Thankfully they pulled off a great coup and are still in the game.

Here everyone's tensed up waiting to hear if one of our favorites is being sent home, or a player we would love to be gone! I love how both Marty and Erica look as they wait! They've both sat up in their chairs!

It turned out that night our faves stayed in the game! Here we all are at Erica's house for the next episode. Michael usually watches with us too, but he's out of town with his parents. But, notice Erica on the phone? Michael called so he'd still be part of the group as we watched! I know, we all REALLY NEED TO GET A LIFE! We will....after the season finale!
