Painting Auction: Benefits Project Graduation

Up for bids is this hand painted antique window:

It measures 34" wide by 27" tall. Acrylic paints were used and painted over gesso, applied right onto the glass panes.

My daughter is graduating high school this year. Many parents have come together to plan "Project Graduation" for the graduates so they can celebrate their night in a safe, fun environment with no alcohol nor drugs. Monies are still being raised for this event and here's how you can help. Contributions are of course welcomed! If you'd like to purchase this painting (would make an awesome Mother's Day Gift by the way!!!), simply leave your bid amount in the comments section below (click the word "comments" below this post). Bidding starts at $25. Bidding will end at 10:00 pm Central Daylight Savings Time on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. 100% of the proceeds will go to Seguin Project Graduation. At the end of the auction, the top bidder will have 24 hours to contact me (photosbytammy@sbcglobal.net) to make arrangements to pay. Painting will be delivered to local winner if in the Seguin/New Braunfels areas. Others may choose to pick up from a convenient location. If winning bidder lives outside area and cannot make arrangements to pick up, it will be necessary for you to pay for shipping expenses. You may contact me for shipping information.

Good luck and let's help make some money for Project Graduation!!!

I ♥ Faces: Smiles

Saturday I went to San Antonio to shoot some portraits of a young lady. I captured some sweet photos of her 9 month old baby too. As soon as I saw that I ♥ Faces' theme this week is smiles I immediately thought of this photo of baby Karlie:

Although I do paint canvases from time to time, currently the most popular items are my painted antique windows, of which some are shown here:

A Day at the Park

My sister Lacey wanted to spend an afternoon at Mammoth Springs, Arkansas while I was home for the weekend. The plan was to go the afternoon we arrived and take a picnic lunch. That day turned out to be too windy to take the baby out so we didn't go. Saturday turned out much nicer so after I delivered some paintings I had sold we decided it would be a great afternoon for an outing.

All the gals posed for a photo below the dam. From left to right, my sister in law Lis, my niece's friend Rachel, my sister Regina, my niece Danielle, my sister Lacey, my niece (the baby) Nicole, my mom, my niece CeCe, me, and my daughter Heather.

Mom said someone needs to have their photo taken with the water in the background so I obliged!

While all the girls enjoyed walking around the park the boys all went downstream and went fishing! My husband Marty:

Only ONE MORE POST until the giveaway! Be watching for it!!!
